About Winona Lake, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Winona Lake is named after and built on a lake of the same name.  The lake was originally known as Eagle Lake but Winona Lake is now the official name of this lakeside escape. The area has many lakes, ponds, rivers and such but this lake is particularly beautiful. The residents love watching the seasons change over the water and the kids enjoy swimming in the summer and skipping stones in the cooler months. A lot of the towns in the area value their history and Winona Lake is no different. But, the people in the area also encourage and enjoy growth and diversity. There are many local events designed to instill tradition while welcoming new and modern voices to the town.

It is the address of Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary and was the home of a prominent preacher and professional baseball player Billy Sunday. The Winona School of Professional Photography (operated by the Professional Photographers of America) was centered in Winona Lake until its move to Chicago in the late 80s. While the school was in town, photographers from around the globe taught there during the summers.  Students and teachers enjoyed lakeside living while exploring local opportunities for photographic creativity.

Located along the eastern shore of the lake, the Winona Lake Historic District is an ideal way to spend a beautiful spring or summer day in this lovely city The Winona Lake Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. During the 1980s, as the older buildings and facilities continued to decline, the historic district became known for its dilapidated condition in the 80s but the town experienced a rebirth in 2000 when local business leaders invested in The Village at Winona and other recreational initiatives. Historic buildings were restored, small shops were opened along the canal, and the Reneker Museum of Winona History was opened.
